Do you ever wonder why so many businesses advertise at sports venues? Because they get seen. A lot!
Think about seeing a rink board at a local arena. How many times, during the course of just one hockey or ringette game, does that rink board come into your field of vision? Now multiply that by all the games played at that arena all year and how many people go to the games. That is a pretty big number.
Consider the demographics of sports fans, which are attractive to any advertiser. The people in those seats, looking at your ad hundreds of times during every game, have money. Heck, if they are parents of a hockey or ringette player, they must have. That also means they travel, eat out and drive a lot. Plus, many game attendees are travelling from out of town and need restaurants and lodging. Seems like a pretty good target for my advertising dollars.
So, let’s look at the local Fredericton arenas like Grant Harvey Centre and Willie O’Ree Place. Both have lots of traffic for hockey and other sports, along with very busy walking tracks. Plus, they are community centres with lots of hustle and bustle and community events. These are great places to advertise your business to a very diverse audience. The advertising rates are very reasonable and multi-year discounts are usually available.
There is one thing you need to keep in mind when advertising in an arena. Keep it simple. It’s hard to read small text from across the ice surface.
Want to get your company name in front of hundreds of thousands of potential customers? Try some sports venue advertising. There is good value in it.
