When you are introducing a new product or service to the marketplace, are you prepared? Are you REALLY prepared?
We work with many clients who are introducing new products to the market. Our number one piece of advice is to go slow and make sure you get it right. Our best recommendation is to test the product locally until you get all the kinks out.
Sure, you want your product or service to take off, and sell it all over the province, maybe nationally, or even globally. But the best place to get a new product or service off the ground is to sell it close to home. This allows you to monitor how it sells, find out what people think, how they will use it, and if they have any questions. If you can manage all of this locally and get the marketing and processes in place, you have a better chance at long-term success.
Walk before you run. It is easier to address a problem at home in Fredericton than in Montreal or Toronto.
