Google Analytics: You’ve Got to Have It

Google Analytics is a very effective marketing tool that is under-utilized by most businesses. If you’re a small business or a large business and don’t know about Google Analytics, you need to get familiar with this program. Google Analytics is a FREE program that runs in conjunction with your website to monitor your website traffic and keep up to date on the effectiveness of your marketing efforts. 

When used properly, here are just a couple of advantages of using Google Analytics.

Measure the results of your marketing campaignGoogle Analytics allows you to measure the effectiveness of your marketing efforts. It’s great to know that you had a 50% spike in traffic to your site because of the direct mail piece you sent out last week or your latest email blast. It is also good to know the demographics of the new visitors to your site.

Find out what visitors are looking forGoogle Analytics will show which pages people are visiting on your site, as well as the ones they are not visiting. This allows you to review your website and focus on what users really want to see when they visit and adapt your site so they can find what they are looking for faster. It will also let you know what fluff to get rid of. You’ll also be able to determine how they are getting to your site and what they are searching on to find you.

There are so many more advantages of using Google Analytics that would fill this space many times over. Wouldn’t it be great to have the advantage of finding out who your customers are and what they are looking for? If you haven’t already, connect your site to Google Analytics. It’s easy.
