With many businesses relying on social media to market themselves, having a bit of fun and being spontaneous is much easier now. Of course, only if you work in an industry that is not too serious.
Don’t be too concerned about what potential clients might think. Everyone has some sense of humour. If you are having some fun, it sends the message that doing business with you might be fun as well. At Kiers, we certainly like to have some fun and our clients know it.
Once you resolve to include some fun in your marketing, keep it within the bounds of good taste and don’t be hokey. You want people to smile, not roll their eyes. You don’t want to make yourself look bad. Be clever, be trendy but not too silly. TikTok videos are on our list of services and that’s where you can be very creative and have some real fun.
Being that today this concerns April Fool’s Day I want to keep the message fairly light. But remember, having fun with your marketing is a serious business.
