Location, Location, Location

I am currently working with some clients who have challenges with the location of their businesses and being visible to customers. One client is far back from the road resulting in very little visibility and the other is in a retail area with a lot of vacancies and very little physical traffic. So what is the solution? 

Because every business and location is different, there really is no magic formula. But wait, there is a solution! It’s easy, you just have to work harder at marketing your business. You have to do everything a business with a great location does but you have to be twice as diligent. 

First of all, take your business to where the traffic is, at the roadside. Whether it is a sandwich board or a banner, find a place – even if it is small – and put a sign there. Dress up your storefront with graphics. Window graphics are your best bet as they offer a fairly large space to work with. Have eye catching window graphics and people will take notice. 

Social media the heck out of it. Tell potential customers that you are a little hidden but it will be worth it once they find you. Once you get them into your business, it’s your job to give them an experience that will keep them coming back.  

Many really good businesses are fairly well hidden, but over time, they have built up a loyal following to the point where the location doesn’t matter as much as it did. Hard work will pay off.
