I attended the Brandon Brewer Golf Classic for the York Care Foundation last week. It was a great event and enjoyed by everyone who attended. Kudos to Holiday Inn Express and Investors Group for their engaging golf hole sponsorship. You did a great job of interacting with every player that went through, and you made it fun. A car dealer, who had a new model on display, sponsored one of the holes. The person working the hole did not get out of the vehicle to speak to us – a wasted opportunity for that company.
There is a big event coming to Fredericton in late August. The Everest Curling Challenge features 32 of the top curlers in the world. Most are Olympic or World Champions. This event sold out in FIVE days, which is very un-Fredericton-like. If you are looking for a great place to promote your business, you should consider hitching your horse to this wagon. It’s going to be a good one.
Every time we design a website, brochure or stationery for a client, I am asked, “do we need to include a fax number?” I was asked this question again just the other day. I asked them how many faxes they receive in a day. The answer was 15 – 20. Question answered. If you are starting a new business, I probably wouldn’t bother. If you already have a fax machine, that you use to send and receive faxes, you better put the number on your card and include on your website. If you decided to discontinue using your fax machine, it can easily be removed from your website.
