Don’t Do It Yourself
I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. Why do businesses, mainly car dealers, feel it is necessary to do their own radio ads, tv ads or YouTube videos? Don’t get me wrong, there are some that are good at it, but for the most part, they look and sound like amateurs. Hire a professional to do this, it will add lots of credibility to your business.
Website Updates
If you are going to include a news section or blog on your website, you should really try to keep it current. While doing website quotes for potential clients, we often discover they haven’t updated their site in years. If you’ve got it, use it. If not, get rid of it altogether. Not keeping this section up to date does not give a good impression to viewers and users of your site.
Facebook Silliness
A client of ours hired a third party to look after their Facebook posts and asked me to check them before they were posted as sponsored posts. Some of the posts were “Oh, no, another Monday“, “Happy Friday” and “Happy Valentine’s Day” which I removed from the schedule. If you are promoting your business through Facebook, make the posts relevant. Don’t bombard your followers with meaningless information, and don’t use your business account for rants or negative commentary.
