Marketing Ramblings (the Covid-19 Edition)

Money to burn.

I watch and listen with interest as companies are still advertising specials and promotions even though they are closed. Is there some kind of underground economy going on that we don’t know about? Save your money for better times folks.

No sports!

As a sports fan, I have resigned myself to the fact that I have to watch classic games to get my sports fix. I am currently watching the 1993 World Series and it’s really odd to watch a game without field level advertising. It is kind of refreshing, but strange none the less. The advertising world has certainly changed since 1993.

Get it done – NOW!

Some of our clients that put some of their marketing projects on the back burner are now actively working on them. They are finding that they now have the time to dedicate to getting them done and can cross some items off their to-do list. This is a great time to work on your business.

Working from home

I have talked to a few clients who, like me, are working from home for the first time in their work lives. For the most part it sucks. Missing work resources, too many distractions and too close to the fridge. Go away Covid-19. I am also now seeing sponsored ads for home work stations.

Stay home and stay safe everyone and have a Happy Easter.
